HELL’S BELLS
A salute to AC/DCbannercopy

Hell’s Bells has often been described by AC/DC die -hard fans as the best AC/DC tribute band in Australia, even in the world by some international audience members.

Renowned for their electrifying powerhouse live shows using only top quality concert production, Hell’s Bells prefer to label themselves as a salute band rather than a tribute act, due to their focus on playing the songs with utmost respect to AC/DC without worrying about copy cat stage antics, something Hell’s Bells fans appreciate.

The band consists of 5 seasoned musos mates, all of whom have been hand picked from some of Perth's top original acts to form Hell's Bells, originally for just a "bit of fun". These musos are all amazing players and include one of this town’s best rock lead guitarists, Todd Brindley and one of WA’s most experienced singer/front person, Steve Bartels in front of a rock solid rythym section consisting of Mal Osborne on rythmn gtr, Paul Eckermann on bass and Glenn Warber on drums. – Check band profiles at the website for more info on the players.

Recruiting new singer Steve Bartels has already met the approval of many Hells Bells fans eager to hear Bon Scott songs done more authentically. Steve who started out in cabaret band Mustang at age 14 is best know as the singer for Infra Red in the 80s/90s and has jammed with the likes of Matt Taylor, Diesel, Jon Ryder, James Morley just to name a few.

Highlights include:

  • RevHeads Hot Rod Show to over 5000 fans
  • Bon Scott’s 60th Birthday Celebration Concert at Fremantle Metropolis Entertainment Centre.
  • The Bon Scott Celebration CD Launch at Perth Metropolis Entertainment Centre to VIP guests, original AC/DC members, The Party Boys and The Angels.
  • The City of Cockburn’s Summer Concert Series where an unexpected crowd of over 4000 people (consisting of Mums, Dads and their kids) rocked up.  See guestbook comment below.
  • Dirty Deeds B&S Ball
  • Westdale Rock ‘08

No one gets left out at a Hell’s Bells’ concert. Seas of smiling faces singing along with their hands raised in the air in salute can be seen in the hundreds of crowd photos posted on their website.

The fact that members of Hell’s Bells have clocked up more than 100 years of collective playing experience between them as well as coming from the same school of rock as AC/DC, only adds authenticity to the show.

Bass guitarist, Eckers, even used to jam with Bon and Angus.

The band nearly always plays to capacity crowds and is constantly being asked to do return shows due to popular demand. Such is their growing live reputation that shows at Ogdens Bar & Grill, Gosnells,  Brooklands Tavern and The Esplanade, Busselton all pre-sale tickets sold out a week prior and unfortunately hundreds of fans had to be turned away at the door soon after opening.

Whether it’s to a crowd of 100 or 5,000, Hells Bells give it their professional best leaving the audience with an experience of being at a real concert featuring a spectacular light show and sound you can feel.So it’s no surprise that people say that I can’t believe it’s not AC/DC!
